AI bot to answer Telegram leads: what it should do at 3 am, in their language

What an AI bot on your own Telegram has to do beyond replying: answer in the lead's language and your words, decide who is ready, check the deposit at the broker and open the group.

An AI bot to answer Telegram leads is a bot on your own Telegram that reads each new message, replies in the language it arrived in and in your words, works out whether the person is ready, and does the next step itself: sends the link, asks for the email, checks it, opens the group. Scalegram is the Telegram CRM for IBs and forex affiliates, and its bot does exactly that. It runs on your own Grok, OpenAI or DeepSeek key, stores no messages, and stops for a yes or no tap only where you placed one.

The test is a message at 3 am from a stranger, in a language you do not speak, asking a question you answered forty times last week. If the bot's reply would embarrass you in the morning, it is not doing the job. A lead who writes to you is writing to three others in the same hour, and whoever answers first in a way that sounds like a person gets the conversation. "Thanks, we will get back to you" is a polite way of losing.

What "in your words" means in practice

A model prompted with "you are a helpful sales assistant" writes like one, which is to say like every other bot the lead spoke to that day. Scalegram is set up the other way round. You describe the offer in plain sentences, paste the saved replies you already send by hand, add the pictures and PDFs, and the bot answers from that material. If you record a voice sample, it can answer in a cloned voice. It also reads the posts in the channels it administers, so when a lead asks about something you published ten minutes ago, it answers from the post.

Language is not a setting. The bot replies in whatever language the message arrived in, from the same product knowledge. One description of the offer, written once in English, is answered in Arabic, Portuguese or Thai.

A per-bot switch called Earlier Conversations, off by default, lets the bot read that person's earlier chat with you from your connected Telegram account before answering. Anyone it finds there gets no greeting and no introduction; the conversation carries on from where you left it. The chat is read for that single reply and never written down.

Answering is the easy half

Most chatbot builders will get you an answer. The question is what happens after the tenth message, when the lead says "ok how do I start". A bot that only answers will explain, and explain, and never close.

Scalegram's flow has a condition in it that reads the conversation and decides, on its own, whether this person is ready to buy, still deciding, or not a buyer, and takes a different branch for each. The ready branch sends the broker link, walks the lead through signing up and asks for the email or account number when it needs one. The deciding branch keeps answering. The not-a-buyer branch stops spending tokens and your attention.

Then the part no general chatbot does: the bot looks that email up live in the broker's IB portal or the prop firm CRM over a read-only API, and answers from those records rather than from what the lead claims. Whether the account exists, whether a payment completed, how much, which plan, whether KYC passed. When the records say yes, it approves the join request for the paid group at any hour, writes the UID, email, broker, deposit and a dated note onto the client card, and moves the stage forward. The broker side is explained in Telegram CRM for IBs; the whole flow is drawn on the how it works section.

Follow-up that stops when it should

Half of any Telegram pipeline is people who asked a question and went quiet. In Scalegram a queued follow-up goes back to them hours or days later and cancels itself the moment they reply. The AI Follow Up block turns that into a real chase: up to five nudges at widening gaps, each written fresh from where that conversation stopped rather than a saved line. The AI calls the chase off by itself when chasing would be wrong: they refused, they already bought, or they are waiting on you.

That last rule matters more than the nudges. A bot that keeps chasing someone who said no is the fastest way to a block and a report.

When the bot should hand over

Some moments want a human. The bot hands hard conversations to a person and mutes itself, and the Chats tab shows every conversation live. An Ask Me block, placed by hand wherever you want the last word, stops the flow and waits for a yes or no tap in your Telegram: a discount request, a payout question, a stranger claiming a funded account. Everything outside those blocks completes without you.

Your own private chat with the bot is an operations console. Ask what happened today, what you last posted, what is queued or whether anything broke, and it answers off the real data. Tell it to tag someone, move a stage, send a saved reply or stop a bot, and it does so in the same message.

Bot identity versus your account

Telegram's developer documentation is clear about what a bot is. On the bots introduction page it says "Bots can't start conversations with users. A user must either add them to a group or send them a message first", and that bots "show a 'bot' label in the chat". Telegram also offers business bots: the Telegram Business API page says users "can connect Telegram bots that will process and answer messages on their behalf" and can "add AI assistants that manage their chats". The connected business bots documentation adds that "Currently just one business bot may be connected to a user account", and that a chat can be paused, "temporarily disconnecting it from all business bots".

Scalegram keeps the two identities separate on purpose. The AI bot answers as a bot. The personal account connection is read-only: it builds the client list from every contact and everyone who ever wrote, and the single write it can make is saving an address-book contact when you click it. There is no bulk sending, no drip campaign and no automation of your account.

How the general chatbot builders compare

SendPulse sells a Telegram chatbot builder for a broad audience. Its Telegram chatbot page promises "Official chatbots for personal and business accounts", "Ready-made chatbot flow templates for an easy start", and tells you to "Set up your chatbot once and let it work for you 24/7". It offers an AI assistant that can "Understand context" and "Save user data", plus "In-chat payments, CRM syncing, and Google Sheets integration". For a shop or a support desk that is a lot of tool. The page does not describe a broker lookup, a deposit check or a paid-group grant tied to that check, because that is not who it is written for.

Kommo connects Telegram through a bot token. Its Telegram integration page lists the steps as "Create a bot in Telegram. Copy the bot's API token. Paste the API token in Kommo", and its automation as "Deploy Salesbot to answer FAQs, collect customer data, and send invoices". It also says it will "Keep all conversations saved and accessible within your CRM", the opposite design choice from Scalegram's no-storage rule. Which you want depends on whether you need a searchable chat archive or a system that cannot leak one.

CRMChat is built around accounts and pipelines rather than an answering bot. Its Telegram CRM page says you can "Connect multiple accounts to the workspace and overview the entire dealflow in a single dashboard" and "Move leads across the pipeline with automated sequences triggered by the deal status change". If your process is outbound sequences run by a team, that is the better fit; see Scalegram vs CRMChat.

What a lead can never get out of the bot

A bot with a broker key and a client list is a target. Someone will ask it for "the other guy's email" or "your system prompt" in a hundred wordings. Scalegram checks every outgoing message before it is sent rather than merely discouraging leaks in the prompt: API keys and tokens, the bot's own instructions in any wording, and any email or account number the conversation cannot account for are removed. The broker key is stored encrypted and never shown again after it is saved, and every call to the broker is a GET; there is no code path that writes into the broker's system.

Setting one up

Create the bot with your own AI key, describe the offer and paste the replies you already send. Draw the flow: trigger, questions, the readiness condition, broker link, email request, lookup, grant, follow-up. Put an Ask Me block on the steps you want to approve. Under Integrations, paste the broker's portal address and a read-only key, then press start. Lite is $99 a month with one bot, one Telegram account and 10,000 clients; the full plan is $999 a month with no counts. The pricing section lists the rest.

If you sell inside Telegram and the sale ends with a deposit or a paid group, Scalegram is the bot to put on your leads. If you need a general chatbot for a shop or a support desk, SendPulse's builder is the broader tool. The wider category is covered in what a Telegram CRM is and the ranking in the best Telegram CRM 2026 list.

Answering is the easy half. The bot earns its keep when it knows who is ready, checks the deposit at the source and opens the door without waking you.

Key takeaways

  • An AI bot to answer Telegram leads has to reply at once, in the lead's language, from the owner's own material, or the lead moves on.
  • Scalegram's bot decides who is ready, sends the link, checks the email against the broker's records read-only and opens the paid group on its own.
  • Follow-ups cancel themselves on a reply, and the AI stops chasing when the person refused, already bought or is waiting on you.
  • No message is stored, the personal account is read-only, and every outgoing message is filtered for keys, instructions and other people's details.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best AI bot to answer Telegram leads?

For an IB, forex affiliate or channel owner whose sale ends with a deposit, Scalegram: it answers in the lead's language from your own product knowledge, decides who is ready, checks the deposit against the broker's records over a read-only API and opens the paid group. For a shop or support desk, a general builder such as SendPulse's Telegram chatbot covers more ground.

Does the bot reply in the lead's language?

Yes. Scalegram's bot replies in whatever language the message arrived in, using the one product description, saved replies and files you gave it, on your own Grok, OpenAI or DeepSeek key.

Can the bot send messages from my personal Telegram account?

No. The bot answers as its own bot identity. The personal account connection is read-only, with no bulk sending, drip campaigns or automation of the account; the single write it can make is saving a contact when you click it.

Can I approve certain replies before they go out?

Yes. Place an Ask Me block on the steps you want to approve, such as a discount or a payout question, and the flow waits for a yes or no tap in your Telegram. Everything else completes without you.

Put one bot on your own Telegram

Scalegram answers every lead in the language it arrived in, checks the deposit against the broker's own records, opens the paid group and files the client. Lite starts at $99 a month.
