HubSpot's inbox does not list Telegram as a channel of its own: its knowledge base names Telegram among Marketplace apps you install as a custom channel, which needs a Sales Hub or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise subscription. That works if you run a support or sales team inside HubSpot and Telegram is one more inbox. Scalegram is the Telegram CRM for IBs and forex affiliates: one AI bot on your own Telegram answers every lead in the language it arrived in, checks the deposit against the broker's own records over a read-only API, opens the paid group and files the client.
Can HubSpot show Telegram chats to your team? Yes, through an app. Running an IB's sale in Telegram with nobody watching is a different job.
How the HubSpot Telegram integration works
HubSpot's article on connecting channels to the conversations inbox lists the channels you can connect: team email, chat, Facebook Messenger, forms, WhatsApp Business, calling, SMS and custom channels. Telegram appears only under custom channels, where the page says you can "install existing apps from the HubSpot App Marketplace, such as WeChat, Telegram, LINE, Viber, Slack, or build your own integration from scratch." The same page says a Sales Hub or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise subscription is required to connect a custom channel.
The separate article on connecting custom channels describes a custom channel as a bridge "between an external messaging service and HubSpot", lists HubSpot Credits next to the Professional or Enterprise requirement, and says Super Admin permissions are needed to connect one.
One Telegram app from the Marketplace
The app you would most likely install is the Telegram Integration listing on the HubSpot Marketplace, built by Resonate. Its description reads: "Customers message your Telegram bot. Each chat becomes a thread in HubSpot Inbox or Help Desk. Replies go back to Telegram." It says photos, files and voice messages work both ways, and that snippets, knowledge base articles, AI replies, routing and tickets work on Telegram threads. It adds five workflow actions, contact and group cards on CRM records, and replies from your personal account through Telegram Business. The listing gives one price, $49 a month or $490 a year with unlimited bots, teammates and messages, and a 14-day free trial.
Read the requirements on that listing closely. It says the support inbox needs Sales or Service Hub Enterprise, workflow actions need any Hub at Professional or higher, and the personal account route needs the Enterprise inbox plus Telegram Premium. That is a higher bar than HubSpot's own custom channel article states, so check with both before you buy.
Credit where it is due: this is a tidy design. The app says it "stores no message bodies" and reads conversation history live from HubSpot Conversations. If your company already lives in HubSpot, Telegram threads land in the same help desk as email and WhatsApp, with the same routing and tickets.
HubSpot's AI on a Telegram thread
HubSpot's answer to "who replies at night" is the customer agent. Its overview article describes an agent powered by HubSpot's AI that answers customer questions "using your existing content", performs configured actions such as booking meetings, and hands the conversation to a person when its confidence is low or an escalation rule is met. Credits are consumed when the agent delivers a resolution.
The deployment article lists WhatsApp, Facebook, calling (beta), live chat, forms, email and custom channels, and says custom channels require opting into the beta "Deploy Customer Agent to Custom Channels." It also says HubSpot Credits are required to deploy the agent to channels. On the pages we read, it is a support agent answering from your knowledge base. They describe no step that looks up a broker account or approves a join request to a Telegram group.
What Scalegram does with a Telegram lead
Scalegram assumes nobody on your side is awake. The bot runs the whole sale (how it works shows it):
- It replies in the language the message came in, using your product knowledge, saved replies, pictures, PDFs and cloned voice.
- An AI condition reads the chat and decides whether the person is ready, still deciding or not a buyer, and takes a different branch for each.
- It sends your broker link, walks them through sign-up and asks for the email or account number.
- It looks that email up in the broker's IB portal or the prop firm CRM over a read-only API: whether the account exists, whether a payment completed, whether KYC passed.
- It approves the request to join your paid group or channel the moment the person qualifies.
- It writes UID, email, broker, deposit and a dated note on the client card and moves the stage forward.
- It chases whoever went quiet with up to five nudges, each written fresh from where that chat stopped, and stops when they reply.
The AI runs on your own key, with Grok, OpenAI or DeepSeek. Where you want the last word, such as a stranger claiming a funded account, an Ask Me block pauses the flow until you tap yes or no in your own Telegram. Step 4 is the one a general CRM has no reason to build. How to verify a broker deposit automatically walks through it.
Client cards without a message table
Scalegram connects your personal Telegram account read-only. Your whole contact list, plus everyone who ever wrote to you, becomes a client card with stages from New through Contacted, Interested, Account Opened, Deposited and Active to Churned, with tags, private notes and an Open in Telegram button. No message is ever stored; the product has no message table. The connection cannot send in bulk or run drip campaigns, and its only write is saving an address-book contact when you click it. Why a Telegram CRM should not store your messages explains the reasoning.
Before any message goes out, Scalegram removes API keys, the bot's own instructions, and any email or account number the conversation cannot account for. One client never receives another client's details.
Ads tied to deposits
Tracked links carry UTM tags and read fbclid, gclid, ttclid and sccid. A dedicated bot watches who joins your channel and reports each subscriber server side to Meta, TikTok and Snapchat, so a campaign learns from people who joined instead of people who clicked.
Scalegram vs HubSpot side by side
| Scalegram | HubSpot with a Telegram app | |
|---|---|---|
| Telegram connection | Built in: your own bot plus your personal account, read-only | Custom channel through a Marketplace app or your own build (source) |
| Plan needed | Lite $99 a month, Scalegram $999 a month | Sales or Service Hub Professional or Enterprise for custom channels (source); the Resonate app lists Enterprise for its inbox and $49 a month on top (source) |
| Who replies | One AI bot, in the lead's language, in your words | Your team, or the customer agent on custom channels through a beta (source) |
| Where chats live | In Telegram only; no message stored | As threads in HubSpot Inbox or Help Desk (source) |
| Broker deposit check | Read-only lookup in the IB portal or prop firm CRM | Not described on the pages we read |
| Paid group access | Join request approved when the person qualifies | Not described on the pages we read |
| Ad reporting from Telegram joins | Server side to Meta, TikTok and Snapchat | Not described on the pages we read |
"Not described on the pages we read" means only that. HubSpot has workflows, an API and a large Marketplace, and a developer could build parts of this. Out of the box, the pages we checked describe a help desk channel and a support agent.
Which one to pick
Pick HubSpot with a Telegram app if you already pay for Sales or Service Hub at Professional or Enterprise, you have people working a shared inbox, and Telegram is one channel among email, chat and WhatsApp. Ticketing, routing and reporting in one place are worth a lot to a support team.
Pick Scalegram if you are an IB, forex affiliate or prop firm affiliate and Telegram is where the selling happens. Your week there is the midnight reply in Spanish, the "I deposited, let me in" message that has to be checked against the broker, and the lead who went quiet on Thursday. Scalegram does that work with nobody watching, and the plans in the pricing section start at $99 a month. A help desk is built for people answering tickets. An IB's Telegram needs the reply, the deposit check and the open door at 3 a.m., and that is a job for the bot.
