If you want a Pipedrive Telegram alternative because your leads arrive in Telegram and you sell to them there as an IB or forex affiliate, start with how each product reaches Telegram at all. Scalegram is the Telegram CRM for IBs and forex affiliates: one AI bot on your own Telegram answers every lead in the language it arrived in, checks the deposit against the broker's own records over a read-only API, opens the paid group and files the client. Pipedrive is a sales pipeline CRM whose own documentation reaches Telegram through Marketplace apps or a Messaging app extension that a developer builds.
Both are good at what they were made for. The question is whether your bottleneck is managing deals or answering and verifying Telegram leads at 2 a.m.
How Pipedrive handles messaging
Pipedrive added messaging in 2022. Its press release dated 10 May 2022 announced "a new messaging inbox" with WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger integrations, plus DocuSign for signatures, and said those apps sit in the Pipedrive Marketplace alongside "more than 320 other apps covering the whole revenue cycle."
The WhatsApp side is now documented in detail. The WhatsApp integration article says it is available on the Growth plan and above, is still a beta feature that not every customer has yet, and lets a team view conversations, send template messages, reply in real time and link chats to deals and contacts.
Where Telegram fits in Pipedrive
Telegram is not one of the named channels in that announcement. The route Pipedrive documents for other messengers is the Messaging app extension, which its developer changelog introduced from 5 May 2022 as a "deep integration point with our Messaging inbox inside the Leads Inbox of Pipedrive."
Building one is real development work. The Channels API reference says the endpoints are accessible only through the Messengers integration OAuth scope together with a Messaging manifest, and lists the provider types as facebook, whatsapp and other. Pipedrive's tutorial on building the Messaging app extension names Telegram among the services it can be used for, then walks through a WhatsApp example in which your app hosts a set of endpoints that Pipedrive calls to fetch conversations, messages and sender details, and to post new messages.
Without writing code, the other route is a Marketplace app. One example is the Wazzup listing on the Pipedrive Marketplace, which describes a WhatsApp, Telegram and Instagram integration where reps message customers from Pipedrive, offers a 3-day free trial, and says "Every customer chat is automatically saved to Pipedrive." That app is built by Wazzup, a separate company, with its own plan to pay for after the trial.
Pipedrive's chatbot
Pipedrive does have a bot. The Chatbot help article says it is part of the LeadBooster add-on and uses "a scripted playbook embedded into your webpage" so visitors can qualify themselves. You choose a template (get more leads, book more meetings, qualify and route leads, or chat with your leads), edit the cards, and paste the code onto your site. The Chatbot screen then shows views, clicks and how many leads were qualified or disqualified.
That is a website widget with a script. The article we read describes no Telegram placement and no AI writing the replies.
Credit where it is due: if you run a sales team on email, calls and WhatsApp Pipedrive's pipeline view is a strong reason to stay, and a Marketplace app can add Telegram as one more channel.
What Scalegram does with a Telegram lead
Scalegram assumes nobody on your side is watching the inbox. The bot runs the sale, in this order (more detail in how it works):
- It answers in the language the message came in, using your product knowledge, saved replies, pictures, PDFs and cloned voice.
- An AI condition reads the chat and decides whether the person is ready, still deciding or not a buyer, and takes a different branch for each.
- It sends your broker link, walks them through sign-up and asks for the email or account number.
- It looks that email up in the broker's IB portal or the prop firm CRM over a read-only API: whether the account exists, whether a payment completed, whether KYC passed.
- It approves the join request to your paid group or channel the moment the person qualifies.
- It writes UID, email, broker, deposit and a dated note on the client card and moves the stage forward.
- It follows up with whoever went quiet, each nudge written fresh from where that chat stopped, and stops when they reply.
You pick the AI model, Grok, OpenAI or DeepSeek, on your own API key. Where you want the final say, such as a stranger claiming a funded account, an Ask Me block pauses the flow until you tap yes or no in your own Telegram. The deposit lookup is the step a general sales CRM has no reason to build; how to verify a broker deposit automatically covers it step by step.
A client list with no message table
Scalegram connects your personal Telegram account read-only and turns your whole contact list, plus everyone who ever wrote to you, into client cards with stages from New through Contacted, Interested, Account Opened, Deposited and Active to Churned. Each card has tags, private notes and an Open in Telegram button; you reply in Telegram itself. No message is ever stored, because the product has no message table. The connection cannot send in bulk or run drip campaigns. Its one write is saving an address-book contact when you click it. Why that matters for an IB is in why a Telegram CRM should not store your messages.
That is the opposite of a setup where every chat is copied into the CRM. Some sales managers want transcripts to review their reps, and a Pipedrive plus Marketplace app setup gives them that. An affiliate who would rather not keep client conversations on someone else's servers gets the other design from Scalegram.
Ads tied to deposits
Scalegram's tracked links carry UTM tags and read fbclid, gclid, ttclid and sccid. A dedicated bot watches who joins your channel and reports each subscriber server side to Meta, TikTok and Snapchat, so a campaign can learn from people who joined and deposited instead of people who clicked.
Scalegram vs Pipedrive side by side
| Scalegram | Pipedrive | |
|---|---|---|
| Built for | IBs, forex and prop firm affiliates selling in Telegram | Sales teams keeping deals, conversations, proposals and contracts in one CRM (source) |
| Telegram connection | Built in: your own bot plus your personal account, read-only | Through a Marketplace app or a developer-built Messaging app extension (source) |
| Who replies | One AI bot, in the lead's language, in your words | Reps in the messaging inbox; scripted website Chatbot in the LeadBooster add-on (source) |
| Broker deposit check | Read-only lookup in the IB portal or prop firm CRM | Not described on the pages we read |
| Paid group access | Join request approved when the person qualifies | Not described on the pages we read |
| Chat history | No message stored | Kept in Pipedrive when an app such as Wazzup saves it (source) |
| Ad reporting | Joins reported server side to Meta, TikTok, Snapchat | Not described on the pages we read |
| Plans | Lite $99 a month, Scalegram $999 a month | WhatsApp integration on Growth and above (source); see Pipedrive's site for current prices |
"Not described on the pages we read" means exactly that. Pipedrive has a public API and a Marketplace of hundreds of apps, so a developer could assemble parts of this. Out of the box, the pages we checked describe a pipeline CRM with a messaging inbox, not a bot that verifies deposits and opens a group.
Which one to pick
Pick Pipedrive if you run a team of reps, Telegram is a minor channel next to email and WhatsApp, and the deal pipeline is what you manage all day. Add a Marketplace app for Telegram and budget for it separately.
Pick Scalegram if you are an IB or forex affiliate and Telegram is where the selling happens. The work that fills your week there is the reply in Portuguese at midnight, the "I deposited, let me in" message that needs checking against the broker, and the lead who went quiet on Tuesday. Scalegram does that work without anyone watching, and plans on the pricing section start at $99 a month. A pipeline CRM is right when people are paid to work the deals. When the reply has to go out at midnight and include a deposit check, the bot should do it.

Frequently asked questions
Does Pipedrive integrate with Telegram?
Not as one of its own named channels. Pipedrive documents a Messaging app extension that developers can build for services including Telegram, and third-party Marketplace apps such as Wazzup add Telegram chats to Pipedrive.
What is the best Pipedrive alternative for Telegram sales?
For an IB or forex affiliate, Scalegram is the closer fit: it is the Telegram CRM for IBs and forex affiliates, and its bot answers the lead, verifies the deposit with the broker over a read-only API and opens the paid group with no rep in the loop.
Can Pipedrive's chatbot answer Telegram messages?
The Pipedrive Chatbot article describes a scripted playbook embedded into your webpage, part of the LeadBooster add-on, and does not describe a Telegram placement.
Does Scalegram keep a copy of my Telegram conversations?
No. Scalegram has no message table: client cards hold the stage, tags, notes and broker details, and you read and reply to the chat in Telegram itself.
Put one bot on your own Telegram
Scalegram answers every lead in the language it arrived in, checks the deposit against the broker's own records, opens the paid group and files the client. Lite starts at $99 a month.
