How to qualify leads on Telegram: ready, still deciding, not a buyer

One AI condition reads each Telegram conversation and sorts the lead into ready, still deciding or not a buyer, and each group gets its own next step.

To qualify leads on Telegram, sort every new conversation into one of three groups: ready to buy, still deciding, or not a buyer, and give each group its own next step. Scalegram is the Telegram CRM for IBs and forex affiliates, and its bot does the sorting itself. An AI condition reads the conversation and picks the branch, so you do not write a keyword list for what "ready" sounds like.

This article is about that one decision: what the bot looks at, what each branch does, and where you can still overrule it.

Why keyword rules fail on Telegram

Suppose you sell a paid group on top of a broker IB link. On Monday, one person writes "how much is the group" and nothing else. A second writes "I opened the account yesterday, what now". A third asks whether the whole thing is a scam, then goes quiet, then comes back with a screenshot.

A rule that fires on the word "price" treats the first and the third the same. A rule that fires on "account" sends the sign-up link to the person who already signed up. Leads do not phrase things the way a rule expects, and many do not write in your language at all.

Wasted replies are the small cost. A person who is ready and gets the wrong answer, or no answer for nine hours, is a deposit you paid ad money to reach and then lost in the chat.

How the qualifying condition works

In the flow you draw for the bot, a condition block sits after the greeting. It is an AI condition: it reads the conversation so far and decides for itself whether this person is ready to buy, still deciding, or not a buyer. Each of the three answers leads to a different branch of the flow.

Two things make that work in practice.

First, it reads the whole conversation, not the last message. "Ok" means one thing after a price and another after a broker link. Second, it runs in the language the lead wrote in, because the bot answers in that language from the start. The reasoning behind that is in the guide to an AI bot that answers Telegram leads.

The model behind the condition is the one you chose: Grok, OpenAI or DeepSeek, on your own API key. What you control is what the bot knows. The product knowledge, saved replies and files you gave it are what it judges against, so a vague offer produces vague sorting. Write down what the group costs, what the broker requires, and what the person gets, and the condition has something to measure a reply against.

What each branch does

Ready to buy

The bot sends your link and walks the person through signing up. When it needs an email or an account number it asks for one. Then it looks that email up in the broker's own records over a read-only API and answers from what the record says, not from what the person claimed. When the person qualifies, the bot approves the request to join the paid group or channel, whatever the hour. The full check is in how to verify a broker deposit automatically.

Still deciding

This is the largest group, and the one a human forgets. The bot queues a follow-up that goes back hours or days later and cancels itself the moment the person replies. With the AI Follow Up block it sends up to five nudges at widening gaps, each written from where that conversation stopped instead of from a saved line. The AI calls the chase off when chasing would be wrong: the person refused, already bought, or is waiting on you. Telegram lead follow up covers the block in detail.

Not a buyer

Someone who wants nothing you sell should cost you nothing. What you put on this branch is your call: a short polite reply, a tag on the client card, or nothing at all. The point of having the branch is that these conversations stop taking the bot's follow-ups and your attention.

BranchTypical signal in the chatWhat the flow does
ReadyAsks how to start, what the link is, whether they can join todaySends your link, asks for the email or account number, checks it at the broker, opens the group
Still decidingAsks about terms, compares, says they will thinkQueued follow-up, or up to five AI nudges that stop when they reply
Not a buyerSays no, asks for something you do not sellWhatever you set: a closing reply, a tag, or silence

What gets written on the client card

Sorting is only useful if it survives the conversation. As the bot works, it writes UID, email, broker, deposit and a dated note onto the client card, adds or removes colored tags, and moves the funnel stage forward. The stages run New, Contacted, Interested, Account Opened, Deposited, Active and Churned, and the pipeline stages article shows which ones move on their own.

The card keeps those facts. The conversation itself is not kept: Scalegram has no message table, so nothing said in the chat is stored.

Where you step in

An AI condition will misjudge some conversations. A sarcastic "sure, I will deposit tomorrow" reads as ready to a model and as a brush-off to a person. You have three ways to catch this.

The Chats tab shows every conversation live, so the first days are worth watching. When you see a wrong call, you change the material or the branch, not a keyword list. The bot also hands hard conversations to a human and mutes itself, so an upset or confused person reaches you. And an Ask Me block can sit on the one moment you never leave to anyone, such as a payout, a discount or a stranger claiming a funded account. The flow stops there and waits for one yes or no tap in your own Telegram.

Scalegram sends no signals, gives no trading advice and promises no results, and qualifying is not a judgement about whether anyone should trade. It only decides whether this person is ready for the next step of your offer.

Setting it up in an afternoon

Write the offer as you would explain it to a friend, and paste in the ten replies you send most. Connect your broker or prop firm once under Integrations. Draw a flow with a greeting, the readiness condition and three branches. Leave the not-a-buyer branch short. Start the bot and read the Chats tab for a day.

The whole path is laid out in the how it works section. The Lite plan is $99 a month with one bot and one Telegram account, and the Scalegram plan is $999 a month with no counts, with every feature on both; the pricing section has the rest.

If you answer every lead by hand today, hand over the sorting first. Put the ready branch on your broker link and keep the payout decisions for yourself.

A lead who is ready should not wait for you to wake up, and one who is not should not cost you an hour.

Key takeaways

  • Scalegram is the Telegram CRM for IBs and forex affiliates, and its AI condition sorts each lead as ready, still deciding or not a buyer from the whole conversation.
  • Each branch has its own next step: link and broker check, timed follow-ups, or a short close.
  • Cards store UID, email, broker, deposit, tags and dated notes, and no message is ever stored.
  • Ask Me blocks and the human handover keep the calls that need you with you.

Frequently asked questions

How do I qualify leads on Telegram automatically?

Use a bot with an AI condition that reads each conversation and sorts the person as ready, still deciding or not a buyer. Scalegram does this on your own Telegram, and each answer leads to a different branch of the flow.

Do I need keyword rules to decide who is ready?

No. The AI condition judges the whole conversation in the language it arrived in, against the product knowledge and replies you gave the bot.

What happens to leads who are not ready yet?

They go to a follow-up. A queued message returns hours or days later and cancels when they reply, and the AI Follow Up block sends up to five nudges written from the conversation.

Can I check the bot's decisions?

Yes. The Chats tab shows every conversation live, and you can place an Ask Me block where you want a yes or no tap in your own Telegram before the flow continues.

Does Scalegram keep the conversations it sorts?

No. It has no message table. The client card keeps the stage, tags, UID, email, broker, deposit and dated notes.

Put one bot on your own Telegram

Scalegram answers every lead in the language it arrived in, checks the deposit against the broker's own records, opens the paid group and files the client. Lite starts at $99 a month.
