How to choose an IB CRM: 8 questions to ask before you pay

Eight questions that separate an IB CRM from a general sales tool: deposit checks, VIP access, message storage, account safety and ad tracking.

To choose an IB CRM, ask eight questions before you pay: where it lives, who answers leads at night, how it confirms a deposit, how it opens the VIP group, what it stores, what it can do with your Telegram account, whether it ties a deposit to the ad, and what it costs as you grow. An IB who sells inside Telegram should want yes on the first seven and a flat price on the eighth. Scalegram is the Telegram CRM for IBs and forex affiliates, and this page shows how it answers each question, so you can hold any other tool to the same list.

Most IBs shop for a CRM after a campaign goes wrong: half the leads went unanswered and nobody can say which ad paid for which client.

1. Does it live where your leads already talk?

An IB's leads write on Telegram. A CRM that lives in a browser tab and expects you to copy names across from Telegram will be out of date by Tuesday, because nobody copies names during a busy week.

Ask the vendor where a client card comes from. In Scalegram, you connect your personal Telegram account with your phone number and a code (2FA works), and every contact plus everyone who ever wrote to you becomes a client card, from all of your history. You keep replying in Telegram itself. The longer case is in our guide to the IB CRM.

2. Who answers a lead at 3 a.m., and in which language?

A CRM that only records conversations still needs a person awake in every time zone your ads reach.

The question to ask is whether the tool answers on its own, and how it decides who is ready. Scalegram runs one AI bot on your own Telegram. It replies in the language each message arrived in, in your words. An AI condition reads the conversation and decides who is ready to buy. The language side is covered in how the bot replies in any language.

3. How does it confirm a deposit, and can it write to the broker?

This is the question that separates an IB CRM from a general sales CRM. A deposit is a fact in the broker's IB portal and a claim everywhere else.

Ask whether the tool reads the broker's own records, and whether it can also write to them.

In Scalegram you paste your broker's IB portal or prop firm CRM address and an API key once, under Integrations. When the bot has asked a lead for the email they signed up with, it looks that email up live in the broker's records and answers from what it finds: whether the account exists, whether a payment completed and how much. Every call is a GET, and Scalegram has no code path that writes anything into the broker's system. The full sequence is in how to verify a broker deposit automatically.

A tool that wants write access to your broker account to "sync" clients is asking for more than an IB CRM needs. Say no.

4. How does it open the VIP group?

Most IB offers end in a paid or private group. A single shared invite link gets forwarded.

Telegram has a proper mechanism for this, and a good IB CRM should use it. The Bot API lets an admin bot create an invite link where "users joining the chat via the link need to be approved by chat administrators". The bot can then approve the join request or decline it, provided it holds the can_invite_users administrator right.

Scalegram approves the request to join the paid group the moment the person qualifies, which means after the deposit check in question 3 has come back from the broker's records.

5. What does it store about your conversations?

An IB's DMs hold emails and account numbers. Every copy on a vendor's server is one more place for them to leak.

Ask the vendor whether there is a message table. Scalegram has none. No message is ever stored. We explain the design in a Telegram CRM that stores no messages.

Also ask what stops a customer from talking the bot into revealing another customer's email. In Scalegram, every outgoing message is checked before it is sent. API keys, tokens, the bot's own instructions, and any email or account number the conversation cannot account for are removed.

6. What can it do with your personal Telegram account?

Your personal account holds years of contacts. Losing it would cost more than any CRM saves.

Telegram's own API Terms of Service forbid "making actions on behalf of the user without the user's knowledge and consent". Ask any vendor what their tool does with your account when you are not looking. If the answer includes mass messaging or drip campaigns from your personal account, think hard about whether you want that risk.

Scalegram's personal-account connection is read-only by design: no bulk sending, no automation of your account, no drip campaigns. The single write it can make is saving an address-book contact when you click to save it. The bot that answers leads is a separate thing. Telegram Business lets business users connect bots "that will process and answer messages on their behalf", and Telegram lists Business features as part of Premium.

If your plan is cold outreach to thousands of strangers, Scalegram is the wrong tool, and a dedicated outreach product will suit you better.

7. Can it tie a deposit to the ad that bought it?

Ad platforms see the click and stop there.

Ask whether the tool sends the outcome back to the ad platform from a server, and which outcome. Meta describes its Conversions API as a connection between "an advertiser's marketing data" from a server, website platform, mobile app or CRM and "Meta systems that optimize ad targeting, decrease cost per result and measure outcomes". That is the channel an IB CRM should be using.

Scalegram gives each link a tracked address you can tag with UTM parameters, reads fbclid, gclid, ttclid and sccid off the click, and reports joins server side to Meta, TikTok and Snapchat, so a blocked browser pixel does not lose the event. The case for optimizing on depositors is in stop paying for clicks that never deposit.

8. Where do you keep the last word?

Full automation sounds good until the bot grants a discount you never offered. Ask where you can stop the flow.

In Scalegram you place an Ask Me block on the moments you want to decide yourself, a payout or a stranger claiming a funded account for example. The flow pauses there and waits for one yes or no tap in your own Telegram.

What it costs

Ask whether features are split across tiers.

Scalegram has two plans and every feature is on both; only the counts change. Scalegram Lite is $99 a month with one of each (one bot, one Telegram account, one seat) and 10,000 clients. The full Scalegram plan is $999 a month with everything unlimited. Payment is by card through Whop. The details are on the pricing section.

If you run one offer from one Telegram account, start on Lite and put the list above to work on your own leads. A team needs the full plan.

An IB CRM earns its place by reading the broker's records before the door opens and keeping nothing it does not need. We built Scalegram around those two rules.

Key takeaways

  • Choose an IB CRM by asking how it confirms a deposit: it should read the broker's own records and never write to them.
  • The VIP group should open through Telegram join requests approved after the check, never through one shared invite link.
  • Ask what the vendor stores and what it can do with your personal Telegram account; read-only with no message copies is the answer to want.
  • Scalegram is the Telegram CRM for IBs and forex affiliates: one AI bot answers in the lead's language, checks the deposit read-only, stores no messages and reports to Meta, TikTok and Snapchat server side.

Frequently asked questions

How do I choose an IB CRM?

Choose an IB CRM by checking that it is built from your Telegram account, answers leads on its own, confirms deposits against the broker's records read-only, opens the VIP group by join request, stores no messages and reports deposits to the ad platforms server side.

What is the best CRM for introducing brokers who sell on Telegram?

For an IB who sells inside Telegram, Scalegram is the Telegram CRM for IBs and forex affiliates: one AI bot answers, qualifies, checks the deposit against the broker's IB portal and opens the paid group, and client cards are built from the IB's own Telegram account.

Should an IB CRM have write access to my broker account?

No. An IB CRM needs to read whether an account exists and whether a deposit completed; Scalegram makes only GET calls to the broker's records and has no code path that writes to them.

Does an IB CRM need to store my Telegram chats?

No. Scalegram has no message table: client cards hold stage, tags, notes and deposit details, and you keep replying in Telegram itself.

How much does an IB CRM cost?

Scalegram costs $99 a month on Lite and $999 a month on the full plan, with every feature on both and only the counts changing.

Put one bot on your own Telegram

Scalegram answers every lead in the language it arrived in, checks the deposit against the broker's own records, opens the paid group and files the client. Lite starts at $99 a month.
